To become a MeshTac member, you must first join and submit your Meshtastic radio ID number that you would like to have join MeshTac. Once approved, you will receive access to the private MeshTac channel list and our members-only forum.
The benefit of joining MeshTac is that transmissions that are sent on the MTac channels are only shared between approved members of the group. This protects our messages and GPS data from being broadcast directly to the public Meshtastic network.
We believe that it is imported to have a tested, secured, and reliable Meshtastic communication channel for emergency and amateur use.
The reason for MeshTac is to utilize the best part of Meshtastic!

The default channel for connecting to public nodes is great, and we do feel that extending the public Meshtastic network is important.
However, the purpose of MeshTac is to conduct members-only communications on our private encrypted channels for testing and emergency use.
MeshTac is a private, members-only Metastatic channel used for maintaining off-grid emergency communications.
Our members operate, monitor, maintain and test our remote and local nodes on the MeshTac members-only private channels.
Meshtastic is a non-licensed text radio network that enables you to use inexpensive LoRa radios as a long-range encrypted off-grid communication platform.
